I'm sure we can negotiate the rights for you to take that on. However, you should really involve Private Partz as well!

Oh I assure you, I'd never feel particularly comfortable engaging in any pursuit without ensuring that I had brought my dear Private Partz along with me!

Re: C=O presents "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
Scene Seven
The Queen’s Boudoir. Darkness. The crystal ball has replaced the cauldron and chalice on the table. Lights up to reveal the room is empty. In the distance a deranged cackling can be heard. The sound draws nearer and nearer, finally reaching a crescendo as the Queen, carrying the Mirror, enters stage left and walks across the front apron.
Queen: (To audience, who again should be booing!) Aren’t you pleased to see me back to my beautiful self again? (Audience interaction). I told you that even if I had to do it myself, then Snow White would die. And I was right! That poisoned apple did the trick quite wonderfully and now I am undoubtedly, irrevocably and indisputably the most beautiful woman in the land. Bwahahahaha. (Lifts Mirror) And here is the proof of the pudding……..
Mirror, mirror in my hand, who is the fairest in the land?
Mirror: Well Melissa, where have you been,
With your hair so blonde, and eyes so green.
However much you may try to kill her,
Snow White ends up smelling of vanilla.
Queen: No, you lie – she bit the poisoned apple. I saw her fall. She is dead!
Mirror: Now look here Queenie, we’ve all had enough,
Of someone who doesn’t give a stuff.
Love’s true kiss has saved the day,
And to that fact we all say hooray!
Queen: No, this cannot be! Every time I have tried to rid myself of that girl something, or someone, has got in the way. What have I done to deserve this? I am wonderful, I am popular, I am beautiful, I am ravishing.…(temper starts building) but now I am inconsolable, I am seething, I am furious, I am defeated, I am…………….(screams at the top of her voice)
The Queen has worked herself into such a state of fury that she spins of out of control and goes up in a ball of flame
Blackout. Boudoir Out

Re: C=O presents "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
And so we reach the finale. Very much a visual and audio fest, the script doesn't start to describe what ended up on stage.
Scene Eight
The Palace. Audience participation scene. Lights up as Clodagh enters stage left.
Clodagh: Hello boys and girls! Well goodness me, would you have believed it! Queen Melissa tries to kill Princess Snow White but ends up going up in a ball of flames herself. The King is back to his old self and now everyone in the land is happy again, especially as Snow White is to marry Prince Gregory. Because of all they did for Snow White, the King has given the dwarfs the freedom of the land. The gold that they had mined was found in a secret cabinet behind the Queens Boudoir and, by Royal Decree, has been returned to them, which means they will never have to work again. I think that Rick, Billy and Jim ended up doing home deliveries for ye Olde Lord Sainsbury.
But tell me boys and girls, you don’t happen to have you seen those silly handymen do you? (Audience Interaction – Hotchit and Botchit enter stage left).
Hotchit: Did someone call?
Botchit: I definitely heard the word silly.
HotBot: (To audience) Alright geezers. (Audience interaction)
Clodagh: And where have you two been, may I ask?
Hotchit: Helping everyone get ready for the wedding.
Botchit: It’s gonna be a real knees up! (Music – Knees Up Mother Brown)
Clodagh: (Interjecting) Alright, I think we get the picture thank you very much.
Hotchit: So what have you been up to Clodagh? I mean Mrs. Bubbles.
Botchit: Yeah, I heard that the King’s smalls needed sorting.
Clodagh: Oi, behave yourself. Anyway, because they’ve been such a lovely audience, perhaps we could do something for the boys and girls, and ladies and gentlemen.
Hotchit: Ooh do you mean?
Clodagh: Yes. I thought that that with the help of a couple of people from round these parts we might be able to do a little song and dance number.
Botchit: Sounds good to me Mrs. Bubbles.
Clodagh: Right then. (To Musical Director) Let’s go Edmondo. (Cue music. Vocalists enter)
SONG AND DANCE – SWAY
Clodagh now ad-libs with the audience, at the end of which four of them are in the wings ready to take part in the number while the rest will participate in the auditorium.
SONG AND DANCE – SWAY (REPRISE)
[i[Audience members, dancers and singers exit leaving Clodagh, Hotchit & Botchit on stage.[/i]
Clodagh: (To audience) Right, well I have to nip off now to make some sandwiches for Hotchit & Botchit. No matter how many times they ask for cheese and chutney, I always palm them off with relish. (Exits stage right)
Hotchit: Boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen.
Botchit: We’re delighted to say that it’s now time for The Finale.
HotBot: Bye!
Blackout. Hotchit and Botchit exit. Lights up again for Finale Song and Curtain Calls.
SONG – DAYDREAM BELIEVER
Blackout. Tabs In.
End.

'Twas a Saturday night special. The photos come from a mixture of Wednesday's Dress Rehearsal, the opening show on Thursday and the fifth and final performance on Saturday night which is traditionally when the odd ad lib or two come into play!

Re: C=O presents "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
We always aim to make our shows visually appealing, and invest both time and money into the sets, lights and costumes - that, for example, is why I was wearing a pink tshirt under my bib and braces; to ensure a variety of bright colours.
I've been trying to think why I'm not shouting from the rooftops as seemingly everyone who came to watch the show is. Clearly the issues and problems in the run up must have contributed. I also feel, and had done for some time in the run-up, that 2 of the principals were simply not good enough in their performances. One was dour, the other simply couldn't get some key lines & speeches right, which meant that some scenes didn't flow as they should have.
However the audiences didn't seem perturbed, indeed as I ended up having to ad-lib our way out of things on just about every show I suppose it created things that were clearly spontaneous - and that always engages the punters. There were also very solid performances from some of our regulars, who never fail to put in less than an extremely good turn.
Ultimately if those who paid their hard-earned went away happy (and I have to say the last 10 or 15 minutes were both entertaining and uplifting) then who am I to argue?

Re: C=O presents "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
Very true. And luckily you did have those experienced and seasoned regulars to help cover any of the short falls caused by the below-par performances of those two principals.
Still, as long as the audience was satisfied, that's a back of the net for you.

Re: C=O presents "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
During show week we get a monitor set up at the back of the auditorium so that, in the dressing room, cast can keep tabs on what is going on. Although there's always a *call* it helps ensure no-one misses their entrances!
Anyway, using the power of Vectron I have some material that has been taken from the feed. Please bear in mind that the quality is not great, and also remember that this is from a static camera that is set right back. But here, for your delectation - or whatever! - is "If I were not upon this stage" as performed on Saturday night.

Re: C=O presents "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
The cast reunion and DVD premiere is this coming Sunday. Have to say picture and sound quality this year is top drawer.
The four of us who are the 'engine room' of our merry band of players had a very lengthy debrief meeting last night (finished just before midnight). It was, I do have to say, good to go through every aspect of what we do and how we do it. We really need to drill right down this year to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.

The reunion yesterday went very well, with some 40 people in attendance. Having been kept under wraps (with absolutely no leakage whatsover!), at the end of a 5 minute movie maker look back at Snow White those present also discovered what our January 2012 production will be.
