I tend to agree, it's hard not to improve on the original.Sid Seadevil wrote:Well I'd be hard pressed to imagine how the film version of Azazel could possibly be any worse than the comic version. Yes, that was the oddest choice by far. I can only hope that they went for that particular character because they saw something in it that they could do something interesting with.

So, he's basically saying he's back. Well, he did say he would be.Sid Seadevil wrote:Posting on Twitter yesterday the iconic former governor of California had this to say:
"Exciting news. My friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today,"

Re: Movie News
Interesting. Although exactly how the basic original DS soap opera style will survive a head-on crash with Burton should prove interesting.

Fecking creatively bankrupt Hollywood bean counters. I bet they'll even stoop to releasing it in badly done post production 3D to boot.

This definitely surprised me, I'd have thought Blade Runner would be something people would leave alone.

As for the rest, you know Hollywood - if there's even a sniff of revenue to be had from an old idea, it's goldrush time all over again.

I understand Ridley Scott is considering suicide, just so he can join Philip K Dick in spinning in his grave.

If the past is in any way prologue to this, they'll be in New Zealand until Spring 2012 filming, editing through 2012 with a December 2012 release date for the first movie, and December 2013 for the second. Just my guess.
