Absolutely. And is there any doubt that Paul Dini and the rest of the BM:TAS team would be the perfect people to do the character the justice that he deserves?Zoltar wrote:It's a shame really, cos the Shadow is crying out for an animated series really. I mean, visually, he's perfect for one and drawing vintage cars and locations costs a lot less than filming them in live-action would.

No doubt at all. Perhaps the new movie will inspire them to greenlight a series like that. I'd certainly love to see it.Sid Seadevil wrote:Absolutely. And is there any doubt that Paul Dini and the rest of the BM:TAS team would be the perfect people to do the character the justice that he deserves?

We can but hope. Even rooted firmly in its original time period - there's something iconically timeless about the character.Zoltar wrote:No doubt at all. Perhaps the new movie will inspire them to greenlight a series like that. I'd certainly love to see it.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Been away for too long.
Bat-mite episode - loved it. Paul Dini brilliant work. One of the best so far.
Outsiders - keeping them in our minds. Nice to see them listed as such so that era of Batman gets a nod.
Jonah Hex - thought it was very nice, outstanding episode. Too much good about it to write it all here. Can't wait to see how all that's being set up plays out.
Mr. Miracle - nice introduction. The rest of this week's episode just seemed so "standard fare" to me. Still, one of the best lines of the series was in it, "Justice is my only obsession, Grodd. Now come and get some."
Do you notice on this series that the old TAS rule of "nothing they can do on the playground" is not being applied? There are plenty of fisticuffs and imitatable acts in the show.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Yes, I recognized the cyclops alien, too. I also remembered Mongo and War World. I wonder if we'll soon see Starro. Starro with Aquaman would be kinda funny.
Now, I'm looking forward to Jonah Hex. I just hope it's more western than sci-fi. I really don't want the film to go all "Briscoe County" on us.
Now, I'm kinda curious if they'll do a Sgt Rock episode. Or if they'll bring in the BlackHawks. With the Bat-plane, there could easily be a Black Hawks episode.
Who would I most like to see? That's really tough. There are so many great characters to show. Um, I guess, I'd still very much like to see a 7 Soldiers story. Still, Doctor Midnight (or Mid-Nite) is long overdue an animated story. I'd go with one of those.

Whoa! OK, what Shadow movie? They're making another one? Hopefully without Baldwin involvement. Please fill me in.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Oh, yeah, the Red Tornado episode. That was also kinda "standard fare". I like RT don't get me wrong. I've always liked him. I just want more interesting storylines than RT = Super-Pinnochio.
One thing to remember about this series. I think they are again following the pattern of last season. Building up to a grand finale where heroes are brought back for a big team-up. I just get that sense. Especially with the ending of this week's time-travel episode.

I'd expect to see Sgt Rock appear at some point in the not-too-distant future. Especially now his live action movie has also been given the greenlight.
Hmmm...I'd be partial to a Blackhawk team-up, too.

Well, it seems that we will have to show some patience... *pouts*

Hmmmm...do you think they would reconsider if faced with the prospect of a "Batarang" up the jacksy?

WF is a good site. Too bad they've changed the schedule. I was quite looking forward to the new eps. I wonder WHY they changed it. The ratings have been OK, haven't they?

So far as I know. They may have merely wanted to hang on to some new episodes for the fall season.Horizon Chaser wrote:WF is a good site. Too bad they've changed the schedule. I was quite looking forward to the new eps. I wonder WHY they changed it. The ratings have been OK, haven't they?

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Just read the SDCC plans. Yeah, they are defo holding onto the remaining eps for fall. I think CN is pushing their "live action" stupidity (why have live action on a network for animation? stupid female executive) and their imports (e.g., Total Drama Action) as the new shows to watch during the summer.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure I've ever understood CN's thinking when it comes to programming. At least they haven't cancelled it.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Iv watched and D/Led the series so far and SO look forward to it when CN decide to show another.
The summer months are always a bit thin network wise. Parent groups dictate that programming is lessened during the summer mionths to get the kids out of the house and more practically to give the prduction team a breather.
The toys filtered intio the Cardiff TrU and are brillaint...Aquaman, Black Manta, Grod, Red Tornado....and the batmobile is inspired if a little pricey.
Characters Id like to see? Well they have done a lot of ones Id NEVER have imagined Id see in a series....
BUT maybe ,......the Question....Sgt Rock..........Cain and Abel......Phantom Stranger....The Spectre....Hawkman.....Justice Society..Swamp Thing....

I'd love to see their take on Hawkman and the Phantom Stranger, but really any of those would be fun. And the Justice Society? That'd have to be a two-parter...72lf wrote:BUT maybe ,......the Question....Sgt Rock..........Cain and Abel......Phantom Stranger....The Spectre....Hawkman.....Justice Society..Swamp Thing....

I've now had a chance to see all but the musical episode via 'other means', all three episodes were very good and it was a solid conclusion to the season. Now if I can just get my hands on the musical one...
