Agreed. They do seem to have very much lost their way with the character. Certainly, the "Grounded" storyline isn't helping Superman regain that position in the way promised... so far at least.Zoltar wrote:I don't mind the Batgod so much, so long as Superman is allowed to shine as well. I think part of the problem is that Supes isn't being used to his full potential by DC, he doesn't seem like the leader of the superhero community like he once was.

It doesn't help it's suffered from delays and a change of lead writer. I look forward to seeing what Cornell does with him in the pages of Action.Sid Seadevil wrote:Agreed. If anyone can do him justice it's Cornell. I'm quietly confident.

Just seen the new "Shadow of the Bat" episode featuring Jason Blood/Etrigan the Demon, the JLI incarnation of the League and a great script from J.M. DeMatteis filled to the brim with Universal horror references and sly humour.
I really love this show.

Indeed he does. I'm liking this slight tweaking of the format this season - Batgorilla...hysterical!

Batgorilla was awesome, kind of a Mort Weisinger moment there. Have you seen Joker's episode, The Vile and the Villainous?Sid Seadevil wrote:Indeed he does. I'm liking this slight tweaking of the format this season - Batgorilla...hysterical!

Yep, saw it a day or so ago. Loved the opening title sequence. It really came out of left field.
